Rogelio and his family have been sleeping outside under plastic tarps. Their home - along with 65,000 others - was damaged by the powerful earthquake that struck Bohol, Philippines, in October 2013.
Rogelio and his son build homes. They are two of the best in their community, but they don't know how to fix this type of damage. They know that simply plastering over the cracks is not enough to make them safe. They have requested training from Build Change.
With your help, we can train Rogelio and others to retrofit homes so they have a safe place to live and sleep.
Retrofitting houses saves lives in earthquakes and typhoons at a lower cost than building new homes. Training Rogelio and other local builders empowers them to build safer homes in their community throughout their careers.
By making a gift today, your donation will have an even greater impact. These trained engineers and builders will retrofit safe homes in Bohol, and they will also be able to rebuild strong homes in the areas devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.
Please help the Philippines build back better.
Thank you for your generous support.
Sincerely,
Build Change
