 Greetings!

The sun is out and the flowers are blooming at CRC. Soon my mock-orange will be sending its fragrance wafting through our bedroom window. Spring is in the air and I love it! I guess you could also say that I woke up on the right side of the bed.

The birds are singing their songs as Tim and I serve lemon poppy seed muffins that Peter and the kitchen staff have prepared for Saturday breakfast. I play a board game with Noah Riegelmann and finish a work project that I have had on the back burner forever, plus, I clean my house! It's one of those days where you feel that the Father's face is shining down on you.
And yet, with all of this happiness, nothing compares with the joy that tugs at my heart just now
after reading again in my daily devotional about what Jesus did in taking my place on the cross for my sin so that I can know my Heavenly father's love.

Also, because of this truth, not even the toughest news can keep us from knowing the joy of being loved by our God. This is powerful! This kind of joy changes lives!

Peter & Lori Riegelman's seven-year-old daughter Rianna has AML Leukemia, but Rianna is not thinking of herself as she sits in her hospital bed. Instead she has been praying with her mom for all of the other kids on her floor every day. Her brother Noah says she's brave.

I have visited them several times and each time I see them they are so happy even in the midst of what would be the most devastating circumstance for most of us. It makes me want to go out and enjoy life more. If they can, I can. Life is hard for all of us at times but the Riegelmann's have counted their blessings rather than their sorrows; they've made lemon muffins out of their lemons!
These following verses remind me of them:

"In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;  and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:6-9

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." James 1:2-4

Please continue to pray for Rianna and feel free to follow what God is doing in her life at  Team Rianna on Facebook.

Roca de Luz Eterna Women in Worship After Fasting
This weekend we had two women's retreats and several guests on personal retreats. One group fasted the first half of their stay and some of our personal
retreat guests fasted as well.

It is so encouraging to see so many people hungry for God that they would deny themselves so as to seek to know Him and His will for their lives more. This is our prayer at CRC, that people would come closer to God while here.

May the Love of Jesus bring you new life this Spring!

Celebrate Eunice's Birthday
Sunday, May 15
Eunice smiling
Eunice is turning 92!
On Sunday, May 15th we are hosting an informal Open House from 12:30-3:30 and serving soup, rolls, and birthday dessert. We will not have any program; it will just be a time of fellowship and sharing your love with Eunice.

In her honor, we are opening our Bookstore as well, where we are selling all our books at half price. One of Eunice's loves is reading good Christian books: growing in Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit and true missionary stories.

Dr. Bradley Stuart is the founding director of Yada International and an ordained minister who has served the Body of Christ in many
nations since 1984.

In 1988, God called Dr. Stuart to teach the Body about intercessory prayer, which led him to write a book and develop a series of courses covering Intercession, Travail, Warfare, Fasting, Group Intercession, and the Intercessor's Character. Bradley conducts teachings in various parts of the world, networks with various international prayer ministries and is committed to a local church. He labored for four years with Shalom Ministries, a South African ministry headed by Angus Buchan, leading citywide intercessory teams as advance preparation for their evangelistic campaigns.

From today's post on Team Rianna Facebook page.

Rianna is still sleeping with Daddy snuggled up beside her. It seems to take so long for the "weekend" (Peter's weekend) to get here. We miss Peter and Noah so much during the week. As I mentioned yesterday, Peter will have an extra day to spend with us each week, as he's chose to mete out his sick leave to be with us an extra day each week. I'm so glad!! Rianna's ANC is still at zero, but her monocytes and platelets continue to climb. That's good news. They say these other numbers start rising first, then the ANC.

PRAISES
*Thankful for the special time of prayer our pastor and church had for Rianna last night.
*Peter's here!
*Rianna continues to remain in great health and her body is making its own platelets!! Ahhh, such a odd thing to think about, as we never have to think about it. The amazing mechanics of the human blood factory. God is so wondrous in His design of us.

PRAYER NEEDS
*PRAY that her ANC would rise.
*PRAY that God would continue to protect her from illness and infection. God has given us a lot of wisdom, especially regarding nutrition, and I'm convinced this is what is keeping her healthy.
*PRAY that Rianna would be completely healed. Yesterday, I had this overwhelming sense of peace come over me, along with the thought that she is going to be okay. I just "know in my knower" (to steal a phrase from my father-in-law). I just know! It's a good place to be. I'm so VERY THANKFUL, to all of you, who are holding us up through this, with your love and encouragement, prayers, gifts, cards, letters and financial support.
We are so blessed by all of you! You all make going through this so much easier.

God bless you all,

Lori Riegelmann
