Coffee Hour goes Renaissance
in honor of mothers throughout the centuries
Please join host Matthew Pollock for a special Mother's Day Coffee Hour this morning. Matthew's interest in all things Renaissance has inspired him to create quite the feast of treats. He is planning to make an assortment of dishes from 16th century recipes: custard, tarts, and gingerbread, along with cheeses. Thankfully, no sautéed lark's tongues or broiled eel will be on the menu.

On Pentecost Sunday it is tradition to wear red. Please feel free to join us in wearing red on today as a reminder of our call to let the Holy Spirit work through us. This morning we will also recognize our Christian Formation volunteers who weekly live out their faith in service to the youngest members of our congregation. Please join in a special thank-you Coffee Hour following the 10 a.m. service hosted by Thomas and Doreen Smith and Lauren Gallant Cochran.

A Parting Gift for Janet Janet, our Financial & Parish Administrator, will be retiring at the end of May. We would like to send her off with a financial purse as a way to show our gratitude for her years of service. The estate sale - the last of the season - is in critical need of help the days of the sale (Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18), especially on Friday. This Maple Bluff sale is exceptional, one of the most delightful we have worked on. Linens, quality outdoor furniture, books, nice art work, Kimball spinet piano, SEEBRING juke box (needs repair) & the usual assortment of interesting smalls.
Sign Up Sheet will be placed at the door at 4 pm on Thursday for orderly entry Friday & at 4 pm on Friday for Saturday entry. BIDS accepted Friday; HALF-PRICE Saturday. No credit cards.
Get your RSVP in! For the Madison Urban Ministry (MUM) dinner is planned at the Concourse on Saturday May 18. Tickets are $75 ($50 of each ticket is tax-deductible). Ukrainian Pianist Yana Groves

The next Grace Presents concert will feature classical pianist Yana Groves from Ukraine. Yana will play works by Bach, Debussy, and Schubert. The concert, as always, is free and open to the public. Feel free to bring in your lunch from the Farmer's Market to enjoy during the concert.
