Join Grace Foyers and Join the Fun

Foyer Groups are a fun and easy way for parishioners to gather together on a regular but informal basis for purely social reasons. There is no agenda or plan - just casual fellowship and a simple meal. Meals have included breakfast, lunch and dinner held in homes, restaurants, and senior citizen communities. Grace Foyer groups are made up of singles, couples, and families, young and old. Each small group of six to eight people meet once every four to six weeks during the winter and spring with the main focus on Christian fellowship, a refreshing meal and relaxed conversation.

The Grand Foyer kick-off will be scheduled for Sunday, January 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Guild Hall. Attendance not required, just desired. Sign up to attend or volunteer (arrive by 5 p.m.) to help set up the Grand Foyer by contacting Chère Gibson at ccgibson@wisc.edu or 824-0303.

Lubar Institute Community Forum
begins again January 27

Greetings:

Our popular Community Forum begins a new group in January 2013.  Community Forum provides local Muslim, Christian and Jewish community members with an opportunity for dialogue to engender greater understanding and more peaceful relations between our faith communities. During the first meeting, participants choose four discussion topics:

Following are the dates and locations:

Sunday, January 27th, 1-3pm, Lowell Hall

Sunday, February 17th, 1-3pm, Islamic Center
Sunday, March 17th, 1-3pm, Midvale Lutheran
Sunday, April 21st
, 1-3pm, Temple Bethel

Learn more about your own faith by engaging in Muslim Jewish and Christian dialogue! Take a few hours once a month on Sunday January- March to get to know other members of the family of Abraham. Contact Brad Klinge1e at the UW Madison Lubar Institute for the Study of Abrahamic Religions for more information or to sign up.

Holy Casserolers
Manami Terrien is beginning another round of treatment for her stage
four breast cancer.  We'd like to help out with some meals/casseroles/soups.  Please put your food in a freezer-safe, disposable container; label it with "Manami", your name, and the date; and place it in the Holy Casseroler freezer at church.  (The top shelf of the stainless steel refrigerator in the corner of the kitchen by the microwave.)  She and her husband do not have any food restrictions.

Thanks!
Darby
