News Notes
| We say Goodbye This week we said goodbye to our dear friend, Jim Bartelt, each in our own way.
The Green Bay Press Gazette had this to say.
Jonathan's sermon offered this bit of comfort.
In our Prayers Bishop Miller has learned that The Rev. Gary Lambert will undergo a below the knee amputation as the only way to stop the continued spread of an infection that has extended into the bone. Please keep Gary and his wife, Jeri, in your prayers. Those who would like to send a card or message of healing may address it to the Lambert's home address:
The Rev. Gary Lambert & Family, 205 Nichols Road, Monona, WI 53716.

Wow! Our church has surprised and overwhelmed our architects at the first User Groups meeting. It meant we stayed longer because we have so much involvement as a parish. Thank you for being there. We will now benefit from excitement and knowledge generated by your leadership and be able to move ahead with the information gathered. With the results of our last meeting the architects will now move forward with the patterning process and present 12 - 15 patterns to view, discuss, and approve at Meeting #2, Tuesday, October 30. Exciting stuff! Thank you for planning to be there to make sure the information that moves forward to the congregation at the Annual Meeting is spot-on!

Who will be crowned All Saints Queen for a Day?!
On Nov. 4th during Coffee Hour it'll be your turn to come on down for an All Saints Sunday Trivia Showdown. Lauren Cochran will hand out the quizzes and whoever answers the most questions correctly will win a $40 gift card from Whole Foods. Second place is a gift card from Fromagination. You will be allowed to work with a partner, but no consulting books or mobile devices with the internet!
All Saints' Day brings reminder of everyday saints within
The approach of All Saints' Day (November 1, observed November 4) offers a reminder of our Columbarium. Here repose the ashes of many of our faithful departed, whose presence comforts the grieving, and reminds us of the cloud of witnesses hovering over Grace.
Do visit the Columbarium in the chapel from time to time with prayer and thanksgiving. Do take a brochure from the rack at the rear of the nave to learn more about this opportunity to be buried in Grace Church.
- Stan Henning, Columbarium Administrator

Good news for busy people: It's not necessary to have read the book in order to profit from these sessions. If there is enough interest, six monthly evening sessions based on Palmer's book will be offered in the new year.
