Sea Sunday
Sunday, June 2, is set aside in the church calendar to remember the brave and dedicated men and women who keep our global economy afloat. Through special services, congregations around the world celebrate the vital contribution seafarers make to all our lives, and pray for them, their families and those that support them. Launching a New Sunday Liturgy
Wednesday, June 5, 9 am-5 pm, St. Paul, Seattle. Offered by the College for Congregational Development, and led by the Rev. Melissa Skelton, Canon for Congregational Development, this one day learning and planning event will look at launching new Sunday liturgies. Work on potential processes both to test the waters in a congregation and gain member participation. Clergy and lay teams encouraged. No fee, just come ready to buy your own lunch. RSVP by Friday, May 31.   

2013 Diocesan Stewardship Conference
To be held at St. John, Olympia, Saturday, June 8, 9:30 am-4 pm, this conference will provide tools for your congregation to create a culture of stewardship through a variety of ministries including management of personal finances, understanding our corporate and individual identity as people of faith, practical helps for inter-generational year round stewardship formation, and environmental stewardship that helps the bottom line. Young Adult Theology on Tap
First Tuesday of the Month, 7-9 pm, Nick's Off Market, 1556 NW 56th, Seattle. Join other young adults in their 20's and 30's for a series of theological discussions in a relaxed setting. June 4 topic: Trinity. [More]      
News & Information
The Compline Choir's new CD I Will Meditate is is available for purchase. The CD contains a complete recording of The Office of Compline, as sung at Saint Mark's Cathedral, Seattle; premiere recordings of Richard Proulx's I Will Meditate and In Praise of Music; and eight tracks of additional Psalm settings by Peter Hallock. Purchase through either The Cathedral Shop at St. Mark's or the Episcopal Bookstore.

The Holy Spirit is blowing the winds of new life into St. Christopher's by the Sea in Westport. This blessed mission church was started in a tent to minister to the needs of the people of Washington's south ocean beaches. Over the years it has moved into a remodeled school house, started a food bank next door to the church, and a clothing bank in Grayland. [More]

The Farm Team & Seattle Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. Help provide food for those in need worldwide by becoming a part of (or sponsoring) The Farm Team. Episcopal Relief & Development is teaming up with the Diocese of Olympia to create an event-within-an-event by inviting members of the diocese to join The Farm Team and run or walk the Rock 'n Roll Marathon or the Half Marathon event on Saturday, June 22. 2013 Seattle Pride Day Parade. Join with Integrity Puget Sound and show your Episcopal PRIDE! Sunday, June 30. Our 2012 turnout was great - about 70 marchers, 10 congregations represented with banners, 11 clergy and a Eucharist celebrated on the street before we stepped off. Let's do it again! Let's once again celebrate our church as a truly welcoming and compassionate community of faith. Integrity Puget Sound is registering us as they did last year, and everyone is invited to participate.
