The Leo New Moon of Aug 2nd presents an interesting dynamic - it both stabilizes and releases energies. New Moons mark a 4 week cycle. They are seed times - which means what we intend/affirm, commit to, and/or act upon grows. This is powerful. Any healing work or positive intention work done within 48hrs of this moon is especially powerful.
The Leo Moon supports our ability to "let die" what no longer serves our highest & best. We are encouraged to review what we have learned over the last 6 -12 months so that we may have a more complete or holistic understanding of who we are. Be cognizant of your thoughts and actions as well, this month. They are seeds to tomorrow. It would help us now to examine our relationship with our ego (fear) so that we may understand better how we "perceive" and "interact" with the world.. The ongoing theme since 2011 has been "relationship with self & others". This learning will continue well into 2017.
The only caution of the Leo New Moon is to keep a check on our egos/fears. Check in with your anger or fear and ask "why do you feel that way?" before you respond. Think before speaking and acting. Words either heal or wound. Aggressive energies in their various forms are also seeking release (verbal aggression, bullying, senseless acts of greed or violence may be played out in the global area etc...). Our best response to any energy imbalance is to observe it and not become it! Simply take responsibility for yourself and do not feed any negativity.
August's Leo Moon holds great potential. New habits that are cultivated now have the power of Leo behind them and a great chance of taking root Leo encourages us to create, to break old habits, to revision our lives, to grow and move forward with courage. In its highest vibration, Leo is the Divine Child. He implicitly trusts in the Universe & the Self. Leo asks that we move forward with Heart - allowing ourselves to "feel" the way. This is a new concept for many, as we typically rely on our thinking mind rather than our feeling mind (Heart). Each of us are learning to be patient with change as we navigate un-chartered terrain and grow into our new selves and possibly new roles.
August will be an interesting mix of energies. The Aquarius Full Moon on August 18th is a partial eclipse. This full moon will affect us stronger than other full moons. The Aquarius moon encourages us not to get lost in the detours of life and to stay true to our hearts. It helps to clarify/illuminate our energetic vibration so that we may live up to our creative potential. The last days of the month feel more harmonious. Our dealings with others benefit from that influence.
In September, we begin another cycle that will ask our energy. We will be glad to have released, gathered wisdom, and regenerated this month. And, we will travel lighter in the Fall because of it.

Parting Thoughts!
What's been happening? I am local until late this month and am enjoying the time at home. My wait-list is now cleared and August's schedule is more flexible. I have one weekend date open to accommodate private group session requests. Book yours now! This month is also a perfect time to check-in with a personal reading after these recent months of transition.
What's next? I'm off to Maine near month end for work and to unwind with friends. Class programs and events pick up in September, as do my travels. Check out the new programs. I return to NYC Sept 14 - 18. There is some availability for private consultations while I am in the city. The current wait-list will be accommodated first. Contact me to schedule your session.
