I've just returned from Maine. Welcome to August and the Lion's Gate of July 26 - Aug 12! The Lions Gate peaks today, 8-8-8. The purpose of the 8-8-8 gateway is to help align us with our Soul gifts. Much Light has been/will be downloaded to us through August 12. The goal is to support our growth and transformation. August 8 marks the peak influx of that Light bath. It is a good time for release ritual and setting new purpose. The Divine Feminine and Masculine are in perfect pose to support our seeding a new beginning of spiritual, emotional, and physical health/abundance. The eight portal teaches us lessons of power, manifestation, relationship, and mastery. 2015 is also an 8 year which amplifies the energy. Eight years bring lessons of balancing the Feminine and the Masculine aspects of our souls. They also emphasize balancing the Wisdom of the Heart with the knowledge of the mind. The Lion's Gate brings us face to face with the truth of our stories. It shows where we are in or out of alignment so we can make corrections to our thinking/acting, if required.
Lions are regal and their disposition is of calm certitude. We are the ones that are pacing, a little restless, and edgy! This reaction to life dissipates our energy and clouds our focus. Lion's fearlessness is evidenced by his calm contained power. We can take a lesson from him by simply observing our moments of anxiousness rather than becoming them. Inhale deeply, release, and return to center. Lion's teach us diligence and the courage to wait. They do not waste movement nor entertain fear. We have the opportunity to clarify our energy and review our plans in the light of the Lion's Gate. We are reminded that True Power comes from within: Self-Understanding, Self-Love and Self-Mastery. This Power is not focused solely on the self. The power of the lion is greater than that. He/She has a strong sense of community. They live in prides (communities) and humanity when out of balance lives in ego/fear/need/greed. The energy of the Lion's Gate is about stepping up, activating pure potential, and Infinite possibilities.
As we move toward mid-August, we can breathe deeply knowing that we have progressed through the storms of summer. They helped us to purify some area of our lives and were catalysts for growth. Some would view storms as a breakdown. In reality, what is no longer purposeful breaks down so that there can be a sustainable breakthrough. The energies of breakthrough support us through the Fall. We are encouraged to honor and embrace the wisdom of this summer cycle. Look at what you have learned. Love your Light and your lessons - then embrace your potential with Heart. Live mindfully. Stay present. Balance work, play, with rest. No fearful over-striving. In September, we begin a new cycle that will demand our clarity and energy. We will be glad to have released, gathered wisdom, and regenerated this summer. We will travel further and lighter in the Fall because of it.

Once there was a young warrior. Her teacher told her that she had to do battle with fear. She didn't want to do that. It seemed too aggressive; it was scary; it seemed unfriendly. But the teacher said she had to do it and gave her the instructions for the battle. The day arrived. The student warrior stood on one side, and fear stood on the other. The warrior was feeling very small, and fear was looking big and wrathful. They both had their weapons. The young warrior roused herself and went toward fear, prostrated three times, and asked, "May I have permission to go into battle with you?" Fear said, "Thank you for showing me so much respect that you ask permission." Then the young warrior said, "How can I defeat you?" Fear replied, "My weapons are that I talk fast, and I get very close to your face. Then you get completely unnerved, and you do whatever I say. If you don't do what I tell you, I have no power. You can listen to me, and you can have respect for me. You can even be convinced by me. But if you don't do what I say, I have no power."
