"La Notte Bianca in the Vineyards"
An unforgettable evening nestled in the vineyards
at the exclusive Newport Beach Vineyards and Winery
This past July 18, CDV held it's annual summer benefit at Newport Vineyards & Winery and it was a raging success!
 Over 150 guests attended, the food was delicious, wine was fantastic, live music was perfect, the silent auction had over 90 items, an amazing art show including a live painting, and it all took place right in the vineyard next to the grapes. Everyone was dressed in white and looking impeccable! Actress Jessy Schram played a beautiful set of acoustic music. Flor Jaqueline and Fernando, two young superstars who grew up in CDV homes and are now university students in Baja, shared with our guests their stories and how they are on their way to obtaining a university degree and making their dreams come true. A very special acknowledgement to our sponsor Newport Beach Vineyards and Winery, owner Richard Moriarty and Executive Director Justin Myers. Thanks to their support we were able to raise $8000 of in-kind donations! This event was only possible tha  nks to our Volunteer Committee who worked for many months organizing the event. Meet Grecia
|
|
Grecia graduated from high school last June and has always dreamed of entering the military and becoming a nurse, with our support she is on her way. We are her only family and we are so proud of what she has achieved, overcoming unbelievable challenges in her life to reach her goals.
Below, is a beautiful poem written by Grecia giving thanks to Corazon de Vida and our donors for providing an opportunity to make something of her life:
"I love the words that make your name, I treasure your presence in my life, the tears that someday shed onto my cheeks became smiles, when I needed an encouragement of love, you were there unconditionally. Thank you for what were once only dreams is now a reality, I thank you with all my heart for giving me my dreams and for carrying them for me until they became real, I hear your name and it sharpens my senses, I will always carry you in my thoughts and in my memory your name... CORAZON DE VIDA"
