It's an event that draws sporting enthusiasts from across the region, and since inception, has raised an impressive $1.26 million to support the work of United Way. As United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey - one regional organization committed to community-level change - we look forward to even more growth and success in our fundraising efforts, including the Golf & Sporting Clays Invitational. With partners throughout the Southern New Jersey footprint, we are working toward garnering more sponsorship, increased participation and an overall greater awareness of UWGPSNJ's work to improve Education, Income and Health - the building blocks for a better life for all residents in our local communities.

In addition, each year we celebrate an individual or group that serves as an outstanding example of what it means to LIVE UNITED, advocating for our entire community - not just for one organization, person or place, but for each and every person who lives, works and raises their families in Southern New Jersey. It's a way of life, and one that is fully embraced by this year's honorees: Dr. and Mrs. Herman J. Saatkamp. The Saatkamps are tireless community advocates who give back to and improve the community through a number of organizations and leadership roles. We are honored to recognize their contributions to Southern New Jersey and celebrate how their efforts have spurred others into action to benefit our region.
