Calling all volunteers....
June 21 is national United Way Day of Action. It is the day we stand up for ourselves, our friends, our families and our community to pledge to change the course of our future. To honor this year's Day of Action, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey will participate in various activities throughout the region. Find out more at UnitedforImpact.org
In Atlantic County, there are 4 projects that will be taking place throughout the county, they are:
- A Fitness Trail in Brigantine on the Beach between 37th and 17th Streets, that was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy will be rebuilt.
- Career Opportunity Development Inc. - Located at 901 Atlantic Ave. Egg Harbor City needs volunteers to dismantle and inventory the food pantry. Clean and Sanitize the area and move the pantry to another location on site.
- Family Service Association Thrift Shop- located on English Creek Ave in Egg Harbor Township, NJ needs volunteers to help organize and revamp Thrift Shop.
- The Women's Center- Located at 1201 New Road Suite 240, Linwood, NJ needs volunteers to organize and sort donations.
