Each year, hundreds of children receive a huge chocolate chip cookie to recognize their hard work and completion of Clarity CGC's inpatient treatment program. Below, we share our cookie story and recipe with all of you. We're sure your friends and family will enjoy the yummy cookies just as much as our kids do. Happy Holidays! One day in the late 1970s, Arnold Parker, the former director of food services, decided to make a cookie the size of a dinner plate for a young boy who was leaving the inpatient program the next day. The food service staff presented the boy with the huge cookie that night at dinnertime; and seeing how special it was for him, decided to lovingly make each child their own special treat when they completed inpatient treatment at Clarity CGC.
Today, the children at Clarity CGC are still eager to receive their very own giant chocolate chip cookie. Their pride is unmistakable as they show their family their edible award for working hard to overcome the many challenges they face.
Thank you for your support of Clarity CGC and helping to provide hope and healing for our kids. We wish you all the best this holiday season and for the New Year to come.
