The passing of
Harriet Gorodetsky

"What we have once enjoyed we can never lose;

All that we love deeply, becomes a part of us."

-Helen Keller

Dear Friends of Harriet Gorodetsky,

This message is from Harriet's sons;
Evan and Bryan contacting you on behalf of our beloved mother...

Harriet passed yesterday Sunday Feburary 6th, 2011
in Her Bed, in Her Home, in Her Sleep...

Harriet had asked us to contact you upon her passing and let you know that:
She Loved You and Appreciated Your Friendships.

We appreciate your Friendship and Love with and for
Our Mom.

Harriet did not want to see or speak to anyone about her sickness and Never Complained to any of Us, even until her last.

Harriet wanted to be Remembered for
Her Beautiful Smile and Her Love for Dancing.....

Please Say a Prayer for Our Beloved Harriet and
May God Continue to Bless her Soul...

Love,
Evan and Bryan
_______________________________________________

Harriet told me that the intensity of my feelings and hurt come from my ability to love so much.

As Harriet has stamped me as a woman, friend, long time regular student, dance enthusiast and lover of everything except loud music, I know she has left her mark on all of you.  Losing Harriet surely is testing my deep emotions and my natural response to avoid feeling the intensity of this pain.  This was the delay in sharing this news with you.

Harriet was all about love.

She always told me on the phone and in emails that she loved me.  Her capacity to take people in, nurture, share and listen will remain a special gift she had.  There were so many things to love about her.  Always dressed in some kind of pink or animal print synchronized head to toe, she lit up the room with her presence and acceptance of everyone around her.  Miss. Content would just take everything in and show us how easy it was to simply be happy.

Harriet was all about love.

She loved all of us, her family, here clients and everyone she did yet know.  Her passing was a graceful as she was, and she would want nothing less but for all of us to celebrate her and life in general.  Actually, having a party would be right in line with Harriet's wild side!

She outlined exactly how she wanted her last page to be.  Always smiling, laughing, dancing and having fun are our last memories of her!   Simply beautiful!  She has left us with joy and peace knowing she lived life to the fullest.  Everything was perfectly complete for her.

In my 20 years of teaching, Harriet is the first regular student/friend I have lost.  She was one of my biggest cheerleaders in everything from personal to business.  The gain of having Harriet touch my life the way she has will forever warm my heart and bring joy as I wish for all of you.

Harriet loved you too.
