ThexCityxofxHolland, xadministrators from Holland Public Schools, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holland and some of their students held an important meeting this year. What was so important? They were trying to figure out why some kids are falling through the cracks and are not on course in school.

"Suspended kids not being able to keep up really came to the front as one of the primary issues" reports Craig Spoelhof, Executive Director of Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holland and an attendee of the meeting.

But kids who attend Boys and Girls Club can only attend programs if they are in school.

Until now.

Loretta Smith Retires:
More than years of service with Community Housing Partnership

  Loretta Retirement

Loretta Smith, Community Housing Partnership (CHP) Home Maintenance Educator, is retiring this month after more than 10 years of faithful service.

In thinking of her time at Good Sam, Loretta says "I have been with GSM for 10 ½ years.  They have been the most enjoyable and fulfilling years of my working life.  The GSM family is absolutely the best.  My co-workers, volunteers, service providers and participants will be part of me forever.  I am looking forward to spending more time with my children and traveling with my husband."

Thank you, Loretta, for your faithful service!
