Dear ,
This past year, Ottawa County reported over 1,750 homeless. As Ottawa County's central intake for people experiencing a housing crisis, Good Samaritan Ministries works with churches and other partners to provide a community of support.
Here is one such story of a family who received that community of support:
Five years ago, Tina and her children found themselves homeless and fleeing from a domestic violence situation. Here in her hometown of Holland, she and her children started their road to recovery and hope.
After qualifying for Good Sam's Community Housing Partnership (CHP) program, Tina was given the chance to work on the goals and dreams she set for herself and children. Her case manager and church mentoring team supported her journey and walked alongside her and the children.
Today, Tina and her children have come a long way: Tina is employed at a job she loves, she's paid down her debt, her girls are in Hope College's Upward Bound program, and the family is moving into a Habitat home in the next few months.
With our partners, Good Sam walks alongside people in need providing resources, mentors, education and most important spiritual and emotional support along the way.
Please join us and consider a generous gift today, one that builds hope for a brighter, safer and stronger community! Thank you!
