Help Wanted: Boston Blooms
and Community Cleanup!
Saturday, November 2 (9am)
Many of you have probably met Curtis, our neighborhood street sweeper from Boston's Public Works Department. (If you haven't, you should say hello next time!) Starting in mid September, Curtis was assigned to clean the sidewalks from Fields Corner's "Hero Square" to Ashmont Station. He's been doing an amazing job, but he can't do it alone.
On November 2, SMAMS is organizing a community cleanup in conjunction with Boston Blooms. We'll be planting 200 daffodil bulbs, picking up litter, and spending some quality time with our neighbors. In case of inclement weather, the rain date for this cleanup is Saturday, November 9.
SMAMS would love to have your help! Please RSVP to Meaghan either by email (office@smams.org) or phone (617-825-3846) so we can be sure to have enough supplies on hand. You can also RSVP via Facebook.
