A Message From Your ACHE of Massachusetts President
Dear ACHE of Massachusetts Colleagues,
I am pleased to report that the results of our Spring Conference, entitled Catalyzing Innovation and Radically Redesigning Today's Healthcare Delivery System are in and it was a great success. Over 200 healthcare professionals attended and they provided excellent feedback to the Program Committee. Kudos to all who participated in the planning process and great thanks go to all of our sponsors, who enable the content rich programs to be delivered to our members. The Program Committee is actively working on our fall educational offering and we will soon be announcing our program line up.
We were once again very pleased to award the David M. Kinzer Scholarships to three of our student board representatives. Christine Soundara, UMass Lowell, Debra Chassey, Suffolk University, and Angie Andaya, Boston University were this year's recipients. The Scholarship Awards honor the enduring legacy of David Kinzer and his leadership in healthcare in Massachusetts.
We currently have 915 Massachusetts members. Be sure to promote the benefits of ACHE membership to your healthcare colleagues.
The Early Careerist Network runs monthly events that allow you to socialize, volunteer and receive educational credits. Be sure to check our website for a June & July event.
Now is the perfect time to apply for Fellow status in ACHE. Differentiate your leadership through board certification! When you submit your completed application by June 30, 2014, along with the $250 application fee, we will waive the $200 Board of Governors Exam fee. Earning the distinction of board certification as a Fellow of ACHE demonstrates your competence, dedication and commitment to lifelong learning as a Healthcare Executive.
Be sure to check out our upcoming events below and plan to join us at one of the ACHE of MA events throughout 2014.
We are always looking for volunteers to become engaged in our committees on membership, educational programs and sponsorships. Please contact Donna Powell, our association administrator, with your interest in serving our association.
Enjoy the summer and we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events!
Warmest regards,
Trish Hannon, RN, MBA, FACHE
