A Message From Your ACHE of Massachusetts President
Dear ACHE of Massachusetts Colleagues,
It has been an extraordinary summer for ACHE of Massachusetts as our board and committee chairs have been meeting to finalize our strategic plan and develop our measurable objectives for the upcoming year. We are very excited about the opportunities ahead, building on the successes of our membership growth and engagement, the dynamic educational programs, our Early Careerist Program, and the increasing diversity of our membership. All of this is supported by a wonderful group of talented volunteers and our generous sponsors.
I have highlighted our new goals and objectives, approved by our board, for your consideration. As we seek to grow and develop our chapter further, we need your continued engagement. Please come to one of our education programs. If you have not yet attended, they are both comprehensive and contemporary, offering a great opportunity for networking in addition to the terrific education. Mark your calendars for November 5th for a spectacular event with Don Berwick and Lisa Goldstein, at the DoubleTree Hilton in Westborough. The details are noted in the upcoming events section. If you are eager for a networking session before November, join ACHE of MA at Fenway Park on Tuesday, September 17th, for a Red Sox game with 85 of your colleagues. I also wish to thank Kate Walsh, President and CEO of Boston Medical Center for her leadership in our Breakfast with Healthcare Champions Series in July. Kate had over 100 in attendance and received very high marks for her engaging talk.
We welcome our new members and welcome-back our loyal renewing members. We seek your ideas and active participation. Please volunteer for one of our great committees or an important activity as we continue to make key investments in our Early Careerist programming and the development of specific strategies to diversify our membership. With your help and support, ACHE of Massachusetts will become the very best professional chapter for healthcare executives.
Please enroll for our fall conference, The Value Imperative: Delivering Better, More Efficient, and More Affordable Care in Today's Environment. I look forward to seeing you all there!
Warmest regards,
Trish Hannon, RN, MBA, FACHE
Chapter President
