A Message From Your ACHE of Massachusetts President
Dear ACHE of Massachusetts Colleagues,
As we begin the new year, I would like to introduce you to our new board and committee leaders for 2013-2014. I am honored to serve as your new chapter president and have the distinct pleasure of serving with an exceptional group of dedicated leaders. I have attached our new org chart. Click here to view contact information for your board.
Together we have accomplished a great deal under the leadership of Bill Fleming, our immediate past president and we strive to continue to grow our membership, advance members to fellowship, educate our young professionals just starting their careers, and provide valuable life-long learning for all executives in the healthcare field.
Welcome to all our new members and congratulations to those of you that have earned the FACHE designation.
One of our goals at the outset of 2013 is to create a new strategic plan for our chapter. We intend to address key opportunities for growth and diversity of membership, outreach programs and collaboration across New England and contemporary and multi-faceted educational programming. We also hope to hear from our membership as to what opportunities there are to enhance member engagement. The strategic planning process design begins next month and I sincerely hope you will add your thoughts and ideas through our member survey, being launched in March 2013.
Lastly, I want to thank our committees for their tireless efforts and great success in building new membership, spreading the word about the value that ACHE of Massachusetts brings in educational programming supported by our many partners and sponsors and the development of the ever growing Early Careerist Network. ACHE of Massachusetts is on the move! Warmest regards,
Trish Hannon, RN, MBA, FACHE Chapter President |

ACHE of MA Membership Reaches
All-Time High
Our 15-month membership drive exceeded expectations, with membership reaching an all-time high of 1,004 at the conclusion of the campaign on December 31, 2012.
This total represents 189 new members and 80 percent returning members. Fifty-five percent of the growth is in the early careerist network, while 45 percent is the result of targeted efforts toward senior executive and non-acute care health care executives.
Congratulations to the 10 existing ACHE of MA members who each earned a $25 American Express gift card for recruiting a new member! The winners and their respective recruits are:
* Andrea Shellman & Lisa Rubino
* Whitney Carlson Roberts & Ernest Byers
* Lois Siegelman & Tom Levi
* Patricia Stevens & Caryn Wilson
* Rachel Rosenblum & Susan Fahmy
* Chiragi Shah & Stacey-Ann Christian
* Jack Bailey & Donna Nguyen, Maria DiBartolomeo
* Peter Faiteau & Kebert Eloi
* Jessica Correia & Carmel Shields
The overall membership campaign success mirrors the organization's recent strategic planning efforts, which have resulted in increases in chapter events, programming activity and attendance.
We encourage our new and existing members alike to continue to engage and connect our fellow healthcare leaders across Massachusetts through ACHE membership. Remember that by joining at the national level, a new member automatically becomes a member of our chapter.
