Fall Newsletter 2012

A Message From Your
ACHE of Massachusetts President

Dear ACHE of Massachusetts Members,

On November 13th we held our Fall Conference "After the National Debate: The New Reality of Healthcare Reform." There were over 250 people in the audience, a packed room of healthcare executives, to hear the critically important and timely nature of the topics and speakers.

Our Annual Meeting was also conducted during the Fall Conference. The Nominating Committee submitted a slate of officers for a vote by the membership at the meeting. Elected by a majority vote of the voting affiliates, the following officers will assume a two (2) year term as of January 1, 2013.

  • President-Elect: Karen Moore, FACHE
  • Treasurer: Andrea Paciello, FACHE

Going off the Board of Directors will be Win Brown, Past President and Jim Higgins, Treasurer. We are all very grateful for their leadership and hard work over the many years of service to ACHE of Massachusetts. Best wishes and continued success to Win and Jim!

As the year ends, now is the time for today's healthcare leaders, like you, to make a commitment to the future by supporting ACHE's Fund for Innovation in Healthcare Leadership. This fund is a philanthropic initiative of the Foundation of the America College of Healthcare Executives and was created to bring innovation to the forefront of healthcare leadership. Donate to the Fund today to ensure the healthcare profession has the visionary leaders and management systems that are needed to improve healthcare delivery.

Postgraduate fellowships are essential to attracting highly qualified healthcare management professionals and developing future leaders. ACHE offers robust online resources on postgraduate fellowships for organizations seeking to develop a postgraduate fellowship or find the best candidate for their fellowship offerings. Information on the ACHE website includes the Directory of Fellowships in Health Services Administration for organizations to post their fellowship opportunities and for students to find opportunities they want to pursue.
