Besides the material shown below, we note the following highlights for November: Used U.S. highlights include a lovely #1var Brown Shade 4 Margins Used, fault free, a STUNNING Used strip of 3 of #112 on piece with a Cambridgeport Mass Duplex cancel, a GEM #179 with GE-EP4 NYFM cancel, a Spectacular #277, and lastly a TRUE #518b Deep Brown Variety with a brand new P.F. Certificate. Other mint U.S. highlights include a FRESH Top Margin Part Imprint #309 with Amazing Color & Detail, a Right Margin Block of 4 of #347 with Stellate Plate Cracks - Scott listed with a dash, a Sunning NEVER HINGED #639a imperf between pair with a P.F. Cert., and a Fabulous #WS3 Rouletted War Savings stamp with a Plate Number position. We note a wonderful grouping of other Proof & Essay material including a GORGEOUS Atlanta Trial Color set of the 90c Washington #111, as well as an Orange Vignette Essay of the 1c (1869) #112-E2. Jeanette Jackson of Ontario Canada was the winner of our Sept-Oct Stamp IQ contest, answering - The "Fancy" postmark pictured was created by John W. Hill, who was the postmaster in Waterbury, Conn. He created numerous fancy cork cancels that are highly sought by collectors today.
