The Littell family, who were evacuated and living in their camper for a week due to the wildfire near their home in Wyoming, were allowed to go home today. They found it spared, though the fire had come within 1,000 feet and, sadly, some of their neighbors did lose their homes. Praise God for His blessings and that He will be with those who are hurting.

SCHOOL WORK BEE

It's crazy how fast the summer has gone! It's already time for our annual get-the-school-ready work bee! It will be Sunday, August 7 and we'd love to see you any time between 9:00am and 2:00pm.
A task list has already been created and is ready for checking off. Most tasks fall under the category of clean-up, and we encourage you to bring your own cleaning supplies (glass cleaner, all-purpose cleaner, rags, dusters), work gloves (we will provide disposable gloves for wet cleaning). Bring a wheelbarrow or shovel if you prefer to do outdoor work. If you are handy at small repairs, you might pack fix-it tools (such as: rachet screwdrivers, a staple gun, rubber mallet, hammer).
If earlier or later is better for you than the times we have posted, or you are unable to attend on the day of the work bee, you are certainly welcome to call Ms. McCaw at 801-613-1722 to arrange an alternate time for coming down to tackle whatever tasks you have time to do.

Our annual Operation Christmas Child Shoe box collection drive will take place in a just a few more months. This is a great time of year to start getting things to put in your box. The school sales are perfect for picking up crayons, pencils, notebooks, erasers, small pencil sharpeners and other school supplies at really inexpensive prices. So remember Operation Christmas Child while you are out there doing any back to school shopping.
