Pastor's Ponderings

Dear Church Family,

Do you ever dream?  I wanted to take a minute and dream with you.  Great things are happening at SCA.  God has blessed us with a great school.  We have wonderful kids and excellent teachers.  Like all schools we deal with maintenance issues and growing pains as our student body grows.  We praise God for these challenges.

My dream is this.  I would love to see our school grow to support a 9th and 10th grade.  The need exists for it to even grow to a full high school.  This is a dream because at the moment it seems hard to fathom how we could accomplish this.

Our student body is hovering around a 60 young people right now.  As I talk with parents I hear more and more of them wondering what they will do when their child graduates from 8th grade?  What if God has us in mind to be the answer to that question?

This month we are meeting with a conference and union representative to explore just that.  Can SCA become an academy?

Please join me in prayer as we ask these questions.  If it is in God's plan that we grow that much we want to be ready.

Thanks for sharing in my dream.

NEW SCHOOL SIGN!
The school sign is finally going up.  The school board, led by the efforts of Dale Bartholomew, have cut through six million miles of red tape and the sign is finally going up. The bottom "box" will be a digital sign.  It should be going up shortly.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations to both our Wasatch Hills Pathfinder Teams who competed in last weekend's Conference level Pathfinder Bible Experience in Reno! They did an amazing job at answering very detailed questions about the entire book of Exodus. The Grapple team, with the distinction of being the youngest team there, vastly improved their last score, putting them in the third place category. Our Next Gen team placed in the 2nd level until answers were re-examined and more points awarded which bumped them into the first place level. First place finishers continue on to the Union level competition in Fresno on March 19.
Way to go Wasatch teams!
