SYSTEM RESOURCES

"Computers are our friends, computers are our friends, computer are our friends," I kept muttering under my breath.  I was still waiting for the necessary window to open up so that I could write my weekly pastors page for the bulletin.

Suddenly a message flashes across my computer screen.  "Your system resources are busy.  Please try closing other programs to free up some of your systems resources."

Just my luck, I'm trying to do too many things at one time and my computer starts complaining at me.  As I see it, there are two possible solutions; one is to get a faster computer, or, two, I can stop doing so many things at one time.

The wheels in my head begin to turn as I realize that my computer is suffering from the same problem I am suffering from.  My system resources are taxed to their limits.  Messages keep flashing across my mind saying "Your system resources are busy".  I'm doing too many things at one time.

As I figure it I have two options; one, I can get a clone to help me with my daily tasks, or, two, I need to adjust my priorities and stop doing so many things at one time.

Are you suffering from a shortage of "system resources?"  We overload ourselves with things to do and it begins to make it difficult to accomplish the truly important things.

What is truly important?  The most important thing needs to be our relationship with God.  I would suggest the second to God would be our family.  Where is your focus?

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 45:22 that we need to look to God "...and be saved, all you ends of the earth, for I am God and there is no other."  Our relationship with God needs to be the main focus of our lives.  It is only through Him that we truly have meaning in life.
