ARE YOU SCARED?

The Devil hopes that the answer to that question is yes. He wants each one of us to be scared. The Bible tells us that Christians will suffer persecution and it will be amplified in the last days. Part of this persecution, according to scripture, is that we will no longer be able to freely buy and sell.

Many have imagined how this might come about; national identification cards or drivers licenses, doing away with cash and going to a plastic society.

Still others are concerned about the government watching us. Can they listen in on our phone calls, trace our internet traffic, watch us through cable lines, traffic cameras, and various other forms of surveillance? There are GPS receivers in your cell phone so they can track your every move.

Are you scared? Does it make you uncomfortable? Satan hopes so.

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 13:5-6 "...For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." 6 So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

You see, even if all the rumors, myths, and speculation about the government being able to watch us are true, we need to ask ourselves, what do we have to hide?

As Christians we need to take God at His word and believe that He will always be with us as He has promised. If we live for God and follow His example, we won't have anything to hide.

The bottom line is that when this world reaches a level of persecution like has never been seen before, our only hope is in Jesus. With Him all things are possible and He will always be by our side.

Don't become overly obsessed with conspiracy theories, end time plots, and rumors. Even though there may be some truth in these things, our time is much better spent in getting to know Jesus our Lord and Savior who will see all of His children safely to heaven.
