What Is God's Purpose For My Life?
I've heard it before, and it's a very good question. Someone has just survived a life threatening illness from which by all rights they should have died, but didn't. "God has a purpose for my life, I just don't know what it is," they say.
Or maybe a fire has gutted a family's house and of the six family members only one made it out alive? "Why?" they ask. "What purpose does God have for my life?"
There is also the group of people who live a very structured life. They always know what's going to happen and are always prepared for everything. They have been working at the same job for 30 years and seem to be satisfied. They, too, ask the question, "What is God's purpose for my life?"
How about you? Are you wondering why you are here? What does God have planned for me? I know there has to be a reason I'm alive, but I just don't know what it is.
If you're asking this question I have good news for you. I'm going to tell you what God's purpose is for your life. I know exactly what God wants YOU to do. You have a purpose, a reason for living. God has great plans to use you. Are you ready to hear what they are? If you don't want to know, I suggest you stop reading now.
The answer is simple. God wants you to share with others what He has done for you. There you have it. It's that simple.
Think about it. What has God done for you? If you have food to eat and clothes to wear, that is because God has provided for you. If you have air to breathe and water to drink, that is because of the grace of God. God wants us to tell others about His blessings.
Most importantly, God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so we could have eternal life. That is the greatest thing God has done for us. He wants us to tell others that we have been saved. When they ask "How can I be saved too?" we need to be ready to answer. What Has God done for you?

THANK YOU
|
The Jorgensen Family - Kristie, Karen, Peter and Gilbert, would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Wasatch Hills Church family for the outpouring of love and support shown during the recent passing of Kay Suzanne Jorgensen, wonderful mother and wife! Especially appreciated were the flowers, donations to Huntsman Cancer Institute, cards, special music, those who shared special memories or contributed in other ways, those who traveled long distances, and all the help that went into preparing the wonderful food for the reception immediately following the Kay's Memorial Service! It was beautiful! Video recordings are now online for those who were unable to attend:
