Confession time: I have probably at least a dozen Curious George DVD's at my house and, yes, I watch those funny little stories with my grandkids...and I learn things right along with them.
One story that particularly comes to mind right now is where George gets a dab of jam on the Yellow Hat. The more he tries to make things better on his own, the bigger the problem becomes. He has some great ideas, but in the end, they only make things worse. I can relate to this. I have what seems to be a really good idea. Even after I have thought about it for several days, it still seems like a really good idea. Then, just as soon as I have taken action on it, I discover it...um...wasn't a good idea, after all. I... continue

Vegan Garden Herb
Cheese Spread
| |
By Chef Mark Anthony
Ingredients:
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/2 Tbsp Agar-Agar powder
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground mustard
- 4 cloves chopped garlic
- 1/4 cup fresh cut basil
- 1/4 cup fresh cut cilantro
- 1/4 cup green chilies
- 1/4 cup roasted red pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
Boil the water and agar-agar for about two minutes. Place all the top ingredients, into the blender and blend for about 3 minutes, scraping the sides occasionally. Add the remaining ingredients at the end and pulse just enough to incorporate, or to your own personal desired texture. Pour the cheese into a plastic container and chill overnight. This will make wonderful spreadable cheese.

Paradise
The Hawaiian Islands are often referred to as paradise. I assume that the sandy beaches, the clear water, the sounds of the surf crashing onto the beach and the comfortable temperatures year around might have something to do with that.
Tropical Islands are also known for their exotic wildlife such as flowers in bloom year around. Signs of life are everywhere. As nice as Hawaii is, it is only a taste of what Paradise will be.
Revelation 22:1-5 "1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever."
Now that's paradise! Eternal life with our creator and savior Jesus Christ. No tears, sorrow, or death. Sin will be vanquished. And to top it off we will have comfortable temperatures year around. Exotic wildlife everywhere we turn. Clear water and white sandy beaches.
1 Corinthians 13:12 "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."
Hawaii is only a dim picture of what we will have for all of eternity. I can't wait for eternal life with my savior in paradise. Do you want to be there?
