Do you know someone who needs health insurance?
If so, Health Insurance Marketplace Enrollment Assisters provide free, unbiased in-person help. To make an appointment at a location in Fulton or DeKalb counties, click here.

Note:  As part of the Affordable Care Act, most people are required to have health insurance.  The Penalty for an individual who qualifies, but does not enroll in health insurance for 2016, will be the greater of $695 or 2.5% of annual income.

For the third year in a row, Cutting Edge Health Options, a CMS-designated Certified Application Counselor Organization, has partnered with DCAC to provide education, application, and enrollment assistance for uninsured adults.

For Uninsured Women Ages 18 to 44

Georgia's Planning for Healthy Babies Program provides an annual physical and family planning services to uninsured women with low income.  Applications are accepted year round.

Why is this important for DCAC members to know?

In Metro ATL, many uninsured women
in this age group live with undiagnosed Prediabetes or Type 2 Diabetes.

The program's annual physical is key to
early diagnosis and treatment.

To learn more about eligibility and to
apply, go to the P4HB website.

DCAC Supports Uninsured Adults in Coverage Gap

In Georgia, health insurance cannot be purchased by adults whose incomes fall below a certain level.  These individuals fall into what is known as the Coverage Gap.  DCAC counsels these adults on where to find health care.  Please share the following resources with those who are uninsured and need to find health care:
