DCAC Supports Uninsured Adults in the Medicaid Gap
In Georgia, health insurance cannot be purchased by adults whose incomes fall below a certain level. These individuals fall into what is known as the Medicaid Gap. DCAC counsels these adults on where to find health care. Please share the following resources with those who are uninsured and need to find health care:

Nobody Quits Like Georgia Week: Nov. 16 - 20
DCAC and local partners joined the Fulton County Dept. of Health and Wellness for the presentation of a Proclamation by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to recognize Nov. 16th - 20th as the Nobody Quits Like Georgia Week. The campaign sponsored by the American Lung Association will support, equip, and inspire Georgians to quit smoking.
DCAC urges Fulton and DeKalb county residents who smoke to find help to quit. Tobacco products are the most common cause of serious complications from diabetes (blindness, kidney failure, and leg amputations). For community resources and support to quit smoking, see Georgia Quit Week Resources.
