Dr. Nazeera Dawood:  Thank you!

Dr. Glenda Knight, Vicki Karnes and the entire DCAC membership would like to recognize Dr. Nazeera Dawood for her vision and support.  She convened the first meeting of DCAC in March of 2011, and championed the growth of DCAC, as well as the other Health Promotion Action Coalition (HPAC) Coalitions, in the years that followed.

After five years as the Program Manager for the Fulton County Division of Health Promotion, Dr. Dawood has accepted a position as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations with the Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, John Eaves.

Dr. Dawood has a
wide-range of responsibilities, including strategic planning, evaluation, and community relations. She assists with communications strategy and also coordinates select internal initiatives of the Chairman relating to employee relations.

Dr. Dawood, an engaging public speaker known for telling a joke or two, will be remembered for her message to health advocates that the way to improve the health of the greatest number of people is through Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) changes.
