FEATURED ARTICLE

The Department of Airports is proud to announce that the Planes of Fame Air Museum's "Airshow 2014: A Salute to the Mighty Eighth", was as fabulous as always. We are pleased that the ending of "Federal Sequestration" enabled the show to get a pair of United States Air Force F-22 Raptors, as well as three B-17 bombers to perform demonstration flights. The Show, once again, had phenomenal record attendance!

Apple Valley Airport hosted the annual "Dual In The Desert" aerobatic contest for the International Aerobatic Club 49 from May 1st through May 3rd. This unpublished event has been conducted at the Airport for the last 15+ years. It is an exciting time having the airport "abuzz" with several high powered lightweight aircraft performing daring stunts during the three day event. Congratulations to all who performed.

BUSINESS PROFILE

APPLE VALLEY AIRPORT:
Where's the Fire Hangout has opened a Cafe/Restaurant at the Apple Valley Airport. Their operations consists of in-house service, take-out service, and catering activities. They have had great success with a "soft" opening serving breakfast. Now they are serving breakfast and lunch. Customers flying in or just driving in from town all have great things to say about the tasty food and friendly service. If you don't want a full meal it's a perfect place to have a glass of wine or beer and enjoy the large screen TV's and just "hang-out". With the great atmosphere, wonderful variety of foods and the experienced cooks we know this cafe will exceed all of our standards.
**Cafe open 7 AM - 2 PM 7 days a week!**

BARSTOW DAGGETT AIRPORT:
On March 11 - 16, 2014 the US Marine Corps. conducted a Wing Support Squadron Training. The Marine's training exercises tested the functionality and the ability to put together equipment and weapons as brought to them in pieces. It was all put together by about 500 Marines to create a "Tent City". This training is detrimental for the service men and women to be able to establish a home base as efficiently and quickly as possible when deployed overseas.
We stand behind you and support you! Semper Fidelis!

However, we all share the highest respect, appreciation, and esteem for the women and men serving in the military of the United States.

The Wounded Warrior Project endeavors to enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members. They provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the unique requirements of the wounded and to the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Donating to the Wounded Warrior Project is an excellent way to show our high regard for our nation's war-time wounded. It is with great pride that Eagle Nest 3 makes the donation of $2,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project. We hope that others from Chino airport, and all other airports consider showing their appreciation by making a donation as well.
