On September 18th we enjoyed our first 2015/2016 Campaign Breakfast with many local companies and partner agencies. Partner agencies attended as "table hosts" allowing them to share information about their organizations and how the funds raised through the United Way campaign help them impact DeKalb County.
One of our 3 Musketeers, Lori Casiano with TI Automotive, spoke about the importance of workplace campaigns and how all 500 employees in her plant are able to benefit from the agencies and services funded through the United Way campaign.
A special thank you to Lori and TI Automotive for planning and sponsoring the breakfast!
The 2015/2016 Campaign goal has been set at $700,000. Your contributions make it possible for United Way to support our 18 Partner Agencies, over 20 other charitable organizations serving DeKalb County, the My United Way 2-1-1 information and referral service, our annual Day of Caring, the Ramp It Up program, our Let's Talk Early Learning Initiative, Kindergarten Countdown Camps, our Women's Leadership Council, and many other programs that support health, education, and financial stability in our community.
United Way of DeKalb County is offering an early bird incentive for companies who complete and turn in their campaigns by November 12th. If you reach this deadline you will be entered in a drawing and have a chance to win $500 in gift cards. The winner will be announced at the final campaign breakfast.
The final campaign breakfast will be November 13, 2015 at 7 AM located at the Heimach Center in Auburn.

Volunteer Spotlight: Jeff Frigo
|
Jeff Frigo has been the Serenity House 1 manager for the past thirteen months. Serenity House is one of United Way's 18 partner agencies. Jeff served on the 2015 Day of Caring Committee and was a compelling asset to United Way through the Day of Caring process.
Jeff Frigo is an example of this years campaign motto of "reaching out a hand to one and influencing the condition of all" in DeKalb County. Jeff assisted the staff with various needs leading up to the big day. He also helped finish small projects after 2015 Day of Caring.
Jeff volunteers for the United Way of DeKalb County because he enjoys giving back to the community that has given to him. Jeff explained that his favorite volunteer project has been helping with Day of Caring because he felt like he was able to reach out a helping hand to all in DeKalb County.
Jeff explained how much he enjoys volunteering and said, "Everyone who is able should volunteer in order to experience how rewarding it is to give back."
Thank you Jeff for all the hard work you have done for United Way of DeKalb County and the community!
