HEAVY DUTY ROPE SAVES TIME AND MONEY
Mortenson Construction has been stringing the 76 mile Woodward to Thistle, double circuit 345kV transmission line in Oklahoma. They are saving valuable time and money by directly flying the pulling rope, Yale Cordage's Unitrex XS Max Wear, straight off the Condux Tesmec RW23 reel winders into the two/three bundle Condux Tesmec helicopter blocks. By utilizing the Unitrex rope Mortenson has eliminated the need to fly in a pilot line. Other Condux Tesmec overhead stringing equipment being utilized on this jobsite includes ARS701 hydraulic pullers, FRB616 hydraulic tensioners, RW23 reel winders, RS26 reel stands, 24" cast aluminum helicopter blocks, clamps and other accessories.
