The IPRO ESRD Network of New York Nominating Committee is accepting recommendations to the Board of Directors to fill vacancies in the following committees:  Network Council, Medical Review Board, Patient Advisory Committee and Grievance Committee.
 
These committees are comprised of ESRD Providers and Patients who are interested in actively participating in committee service and have demonstrated a commitment to ESRD patients and quality of care. Member terms are two years in length.
 
Individual Committee members are expected to:
  • Regularly attend conference call meetings, which may be up to 2 hours in length, twice a year
  • Attend two yearly in-person meetings
  • Participate actively in Committee work
  • Volunteer for and accept assignments as needed by the committee
  • Prepare for meetings, remain informed about the Network's mission, services, polices and programs
  • Assist the committees in carrying out its individual responsibilities
  • Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies
  • Candidates include: Nephrologists, Vascular Surgeons, Nephrology Nurses, Transplant Nurses, Technicians, Bio-Technicians, Social Workers, Registered Dieticians, Front Desk Clerks, Patients and Administrators from ESRD Facilities in NY State. (Patients serve on ALL Network Committees - not just the Patient Advisory Committee)

IPRO ESRD Network of New York Committees
Network Council
The Network Council is a subcommittee of the IPRO Board of Directors. It serves as a liaison between the Network and the provider members of the renal community. The Council provides input into the activities of the Network and oversees, analyzes and advises the Board on policies and procedures for the ESRD Network Program.
Medical Review Board
Medical Review Board (MRB) is an advisory panel to the Network Council on the quality and appropriateness of care delivered to ESRD patients. The MRB also advises on quality improvement activities, including analysis of local data such as clinical performance measures, and develops, implements, and evaluates Network quality improvement projects.
Patient Advisory Committee
The Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) assists in identifying and addressing barriers to obtaining quality health care from the perspective of ESRD beneficiaries. The PAC supports Network activities by assisting with the development of educational materials for patients and providing feedback on the effectiveness of beneficiary-related activities; and assisting in outreach to other beneficiaries and care partners to obtain their perspective.
Grievance Committee
The Network Grievance Committee is an advisory panel to the Network Council consisting of nephrology physicians, nurses, social workers and patient/consumer representatives. The committee investigates and resolves patient grievances in accordance with CMS procedures and Network policies.
