            2014 CMS Vascular Access Goals:

            AV Fistula Rates 68% &
Long Term Catheter Rate 10% or less

Network Vascular Access Weekly Update

December 22, 2014

As part of our work to help you work with your patients and staff to increase AV Fistula Rates and Reduce Long Term  Catheter Rates, we are highlighting Network Resources that are available to assist you.

In October, the Network interviewed 20 facilities on their practices of entering data in National Health Safety Network (NHSN). During these interviews, at least 25% of the facility staff became confused between the reporting of vascular access in NHSN and in CROWNWeb. This PDF was developed to outline what is to be reported and how in each reporting system.

The Network also has other FREE Printed Educational Materials for your patients.  To order them, use this Publications Order Form link.
