            2014 CMS Vascular Access Goals:

            AV Fistula Rates 68% &
Long Term Catheter Rate 10% or less

Network Vascular Access Weekly Update

October 6, 2014

As part of our work to increase AV Fistula Rates and Reduce Long Term Catheter Rates, we will be sending out resources to assist you in working with your staff and patients to meet the 2014 CMS Vascular Access Goals.

  • Do you have barriers to Catheter Reduction?
  • Do your patients NOT keep their Appointments with the Vascular Surgeon?
  • Do your patients REFUSE to have permanant access placed?

Please review and share with your staff our 4 page PDF: Overcoming Roadblocks to Catheter Reduction RCA tool.

Together, we are working to meet the CMS goal of having a Long Term Catheter Rate of < 10%
