Dear ESRD Network Community:

The ESRD Network Coordinating Center (NCC) is pleased to announce the national release of a patient experience video library available on the NCC website. In working with CMS, the NCC developed two videos which we hope will empower patients to take a more active role in their care, and help care teams understand the patients' perspective on dialysis treatment and their dialysis unit. 

This is the first phase of a national information outreach campaign being developed by the NCC's National Patient and Family Engagement Learning and Action Network (N-PFE LAN.) 

These videos are available for Networks to promote in their regions to local constituents through the NCC website.

• In the "Patient Empowerment is Open Communication" video, dialysis patients and care partners share their thoughts about being on dialysis and how their families and friends support them. 
• In the "Safety in the Dialysis Facility" video, patients discuss what makes them feel safe in a dialysis unit and what they feel their responsibility is in order to participate actively in their care.
