If you have already notified the Network and the State DOH of any closures, please remember to notify with any additional or updated schedule changes or issues due to the storm.

* LOCATIONS...PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY...THE NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA...AS WELL AS NASSAU AND NORTHWEST SUFFOLK COUNTIES IN NEW YORK.

 

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW MIXING WITH AND CHANGING TO SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.

 

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 5 INCHES...ALONG WITH AROUND ONE QUARTER TO FOUR TENTHS OF AN INCH OF ICE.

 

* TIMING...SNOW MIXING WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN TOWARD DAYBREAK WITH MAINLY SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN BY LATER THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON.

 

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DUE TO SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS. THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL KNOCK DOWN TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES.

 

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 5 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

 

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.
