Network Fleet Telematics Update
In December, Yale's vehicle-tracking telematics contract with Verizon Network Fleet will expire. The technology for vehicle tracking systems has changed significantly since we implemented that program three years ago.
This month Yale Fleet Management, in compliance with University policy, will go out to bid for a new contract. We want to do a thorough review of all the current telematics tracking systems currently available. The technology for vehicle tracking systems has changed significantly since we implemented that program three years ago. We hope to meet with several vendors, including our current vendor, who will present their telematics programs.
If you have comments or input for us about the current system or if you would like to be invited to the vendor presentations, please contact us by September 23rd. We are hoping to schedule all vendor presentations during the month of October.
