YPD Honor Guard Takes 1st and 2nd Place Wins
To Members of the Yale Police and Security Departments,

Congratulations to the YPD Honor Guard who placed 1st and 2nd at two recent events. In March, they took first place for Best Police Honor Guard in the 2016 Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade! The Knights of St. Patrick hosted a dinner to honor the winners. During the evening, three of our honor guard members picked up their 1st Place award and posed for pictures with members of the Knights.

On May Day, our YPD Honor Guard marched in the Aquidneck Island National Police Parade held in Newport, RI and took second place for Best Police Honor Guard. As part of National Police Week, that parade now in its 30th year, commemorates those officers killed in the line of duty from the previous year. This is YPD's 3rd year participating in this parade.
