Driver's License Review
During the month of May, in compliance with University Policy 1705, all departments must visibly inspect the Connecticut driver's license of all their drivers and confirm licence validation. While the license expiration date may be valid, each employee must still be asked if their license is currently valid. Expired or suspended licenses will affect their ability to drive a Yale vehicle. Please send acknowledgement of this review to yalefleet@yale.edu by May 31st.
Commercial Vehicle - DOT Annual Inspection
All Yale departments, with a vehicle or combination of a vehicle and trailer weighing over 10,001 lbs., must have their vehicle or vehicle/trailer inspected annnually. These inspections must be completed annually between May 1 and June 30. Vehicle inspection and repair vendors can be found at http://yalefleet.yale.edu/vendors.
Departments should keep a copy of the inspection form in the vehicle and send a copy to yalefleet@yale.edu. |
