2015 is fast coming to a close
The end of the year is a time when we count our blessings. It is also a time when many of us make charitable donations to organizations that promote the public good. If you are one of those folks who choose the year-end to make such contributions, let me urge you to consider The Virginia Bar Association Foundation Patron Program. The VBA Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that supports the charitable and educational pursuits of the VBA.

Patron donations support such impactful programs as the Legal Food Frenzy, the VBA Leadership Series, and our pro bono programs, among numerous others. Because the VBA is a volunteer-driven organization, we can leverage your dollars to make a real difference in the legal community and the community at large.

Patrons have multiple options. There are five giving levels, beginning at only $150. The highest level - our Legacy Patrons - is for contributions of $2,500 or more. The VBA recognizes all Patrons prominently in our publications, such as in the VBA Journal, on the VBA website, and at all our Annual and Summer Meetings.

During this holiday season, I hope you will consider what the VBA stands for and what the VBA does. If you do, I am confident that you will want to join me and hundreds of other VBA members as Patrons. So, if you are already a Patron for 2015, thank you. If you are not, the year-end is great time to become one.

Happy holidays!
