Fab Masters Company Inc.
Celebrates its 30th Anniversary

Family Garage Turns Into Multimillion Dollar Business

Dear  ,

From a humble start in a single car garage, Fab Masters Company has made its mark as a premier machining service provider for the aluminum extrusion industry. It has not been easy; the road to success was fraught with potholes and deviations, but confidence and determination lead the way for the "American Dream" to materialize for Ron Troxell, president of Fab Masters Company.

In 1984, Ron started out making a single copper electrical lug. From then Fab Masters Company has grown into becoming a provider of custom fabricated aluminum parts and manufacturing solutions. The company specializes in fabricating aluminum extrusions that vary in size from 3/8" to over 20' feet long, that can be cut, machined, welded, and assembled to order.

The company has gone through many changes. Starting out as a 48' x 48' building, with six employees, that produced 900 parts in six weeks, expanding to a facility that exceeds 100,000 square feet has over 100 employees, operates three shifts, and produces 366,720 parts in six weeks.

Having fond memories of growing up in rural Marcellus, Ron wanted to give back to the community, he said," Marcellus needs industry and I'd like to help get things going."   That he did, making Fab Masters the largest industrial employer in town, and stimulating others to open businesses here as well.

In 2009 he started the Welding Technology Education Center, Inc. (WTEC) an intensive industry-level welding training school that has certified 61 students, and returned these individuals to the workforce as highly-skilled employees.

The Troxell family has been a voice in the Marcellus community for many years, holding positions on the Town Council, and being active in community and educational affairs. Always striving to help build Marcellus into a place where fond memories continue to be the core of family life.

The economy has not been kind to the manufacturing industry in recent years.  Fab Masters' stance as a stalwart pillar in the manufacturing community has been due to the company's ability to flex with the marketplace, provide innovative processes, and pursue new technologies.

Dedication, innovation, forward thinking, and a workforce committed to perform and produce their very best have lead us to this celebration. And, as this 30th year unfolds we are very grateful to, and would like to thank all of those who supported us over the years to make this anniversary a reality.

I invite you to take a trip with us down "Memory Lane" to see where this all started.

Sincerely,

Nadia Klein

Message from the President -
Ron Troxell

We have made it 30 years. As I reflect on the past 30 years, it has been an amazing adventure. Good times, bad times, lots of fun, lots of tears, with tremendous successes, tremendous failures, and with profits and losses shared. I am one of the lucky few that have gotten to call my passion, "work". Many people have come and stayed, many have come and gone. I believe we have all learned something good from our time together. Some days, I look around, and I just smile when I look at what has been accomplished by everyone that has been a part of Fab Masters Company over the years. I am proud to have helped people make a living, learn new skills, and be contributing members of our community. But the most amazing thing for me is what all these people have taught me; how they support and carry me when I am overwhelmed, and their pride, their commitment, their love for their families.

Congratulations from friends and customers

Congratulations to Ron and the entire Fab Masters Manufacturing Team for a successful run of 30 years!  I've known Ron for almost 34 years - worked with him at Midwest Aluminum for about 4 years before he started Fab Masters.  To start a business in his garage in downtown Marcellus and grow it to the place where it is today is truly "THE AMERICAN DREAM IN ACTION."  Even through some difficult times, the company is an amazing example of what hard work and vision can do.

Ron is truly a great friend.  Back when he first started, Ronald Reagan became President.  So when I would call Ron, I would refer to him as President Ronnie T.  We both admired President Reagan and what he did for small businesses.  It helped us to succeed in "THE DREAM."  It took a lot of bold business "GUTS" to do what Ron accomplished and I admire and respect what he and the Fab Masters Team have done.  Keep up the good work and "KEEP THE AMERICAN DREAM ALIVE."

CONGRATULATIONS!!  Job well done.

Your Friend and Fellow CEO/BNO Crowd,

We started our business 3 years after Ron started Fab Masters.  We had limited fabrication equipment, so Fab Masters was able to fabricate those parts that we couldn't. The relationship grew with EAC selling extrusions to Fab Masters and they fabricating many parts that we couldn't.

Ron and I have always had a very good relationship over the years. They have been very important to us as a fabricator, as well as a customer.

It says something about a company who has been in business this long.
