What's Your Story?
Dear KCC Members and Alumni,

We've launched a new social media campaign and would like your help.  Using the hashtag # MyKccStory, share what KCC means or meant to you. We want to hear your KCC story. How did being a KCC kid make you a lifelong music lover? How did it prepare you for the workforce? Did it make you more socially aware? What does the Kalamazoo Children's Chorus mean to you?  Share your story with us on Facebook.
For 36-years, hundreds of children have been nurtured by KCC, now its time to hear their stories.  Friends made, trips taken, music sung, confidence gained, anything that you would like to share about your KCC experience.  Then, If you're willing, take a selfie and post it on your Facebook page along with your story.
You can also send it to me at : fred@kalamazoochildrenschorus.org
We will post them on our Facebook page and link the stories to our website.
Below is a set of guidelines for you to use.  I hope that you will consider sharing with the world the impact that KCC had in your life.

A few hashtag tips:
  • Spaces, special characters or punctuation will end the hashtag: #Bill'sShop will truncate to #Bill.
  • Include a blank space before and after the hashtag.
  • Incorporating hashtags into the words of your post instead of adding them to the end saves space and makes your posts look more fluent.
  • Capitalizing the first letter of multi-word hashtag makes it easier to read.
When?  Share Your Story Now!

Molly: My Middle School and High School Years were endurable and even enjoyable because of #MyKccStory!

Anna:
I'll try to keep #MyKccStory simple... KCC was the community of singers that accepted me for who I was, reigned in the wild child and taught me how to take all of my energy and use it in a positive way.

Erin:
#MyKccStory began in 3rd grade when Jacqueline Marie Wilson and Marlena Vandestreek were excited about auditions... Years past and I made so many friends who have stayed with me forever... My last KCC concert at Chenery auditorium, I probably cried during every song. The idea of leaving this incredible group was tragic, but I know that I didn't really leave. KCC will always be there for me, and be there in my heart.
DONATE
If you're passionate about your #MyKccStory and our mission, consider making a donation in any amount to give more kids an opportunity to write their #MyKccStory.
