What happens in Vegas ... will benefit your A&P teaching! 
 

The HAPS 27th Annual Conference will be held at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, NV on May 25-30, 2013.  
 

Our hotel rate is $129 + $10 hospitality fee & taxes per night. The online registration form will be posted shortly, and an email blast will let you know when registration is open.
 

Make note of these dates:
 

Monday 4 February: Deadline for submission of abstracts for posters and workshops

Please note
: One of the authors must be registered for the meeting to present a poster or a workshop. Poster and workshop abstracts whose authors have not registered at the time the conference booklet goes to publication will be dropped from the program and will not have their abstracts published in the conference booklet.
 

January 31, 2013: Early bird registration with reduced fees ends
 

February 1-April 30, 2013: regular registration period
 

May 1, 2013: Late registration begins
 

Saturday 25 May: Conference registration desk opens at noon. Events begin with opening reception at 6:00 p.m.
 

Sunday-Monday 26-27 May: Update seminars and exhibits, Mirage Hotel
 

Tuesday-Wednesday 28-29 May: workshops at Nevada State College in Henderson, NV
 

Thursday 30 May: Optional tours to Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam

Kebret Kebede and his annual conference planning committee have created an exciting program, and there will be some new events this year.

Poker Walk-Run benefiting the HAPS Foundation, Monday morning, 7:00 AM - 8:45 AM. Run individually or sign up as a team. There will be prizes for the winning poker hands. The walk-run leaves from the hotel. Proceeds benefit the HAPS Foundation and the scholarships it supports.
 

Monday night we will have a HAPS Social for everyone registered for the conference. This event replaces the banquet, which in recent years has been a money-losing proposition. The Social goes from 6-9 pm to allow attendees time to go out and explore all that Vegas has to offer.
