Dear Fellow HAPS members,
The HAPS Foundation was established to manage funds that may be used to advance current and future HAPS projects, such as the HAPS-Institute and the Learning Outcomes Project. The Foundation also provides money for scholarships and awards to our members. Special projects supported by the Foundation allow HAPS to explore new initiatives that benefit our members and profession. Thus, as part of the HAPS Strategic Plan the 2012 HAPS Foundation Fund Drive goal is to increase Foundation by $100,000 by June 2012 and $500,000 by 2015. We are already partway there! This past fall, over 92% of the HAPS leadership (Board of Directors and Steering Committee chairs) donated to the Foundation and now we challenge our membership to meet or exceed this percentage of participation! If you have already made a donation to the Foundation between September 2011 and now, that donation counts towards our 2012 Foundation Fund Drive - but there is no rule against donating more than once!
Please donate today and help us achieve our goal to raise $100,000 by June 2012! Donating is easy and may be done one of several ways:
1. Donate ONLINE using the HAPS website: www.hapsweb.org - click on the 'donate now' button.
2. Donate when you register for the Annual Conference - Just check the box on the registration form and include your donation with the registration fees.
3. Donate when you renew your annual HAPS membership.
4. Donate at the Tulsa Conference: come by our table in the Exhibitors' Hall with your checkbook in hand!
Your donation is tax deductible and is going to a worthy cause! All individuals who donate will be recognized in the Fall 2012 edition of the HAPS EDucator and will receive written acknowledgment for tax purposes.
Further information and a list of Frequently Asked Questions is available on the HAPS Website . If you have any questions about the Foundation or donating, please contact me at [email protected].
Thank you for supporting HAPS!
Sincerely,
