There is now a new injectable medication that can literally melt your double chin fat away. Kybella, or deoxycholic acid, was FDA approved a few months ago and we at Funk Facial Plastic Surgery started treating patients last month.
This non-painful injection is performed in the office and takes about 2o minutes. It requires 2-4 treatment sessions spaced 6 weeks apart with little to no downtime after injection. Patients may experience mild swelling for about 5 days after each session but nothing that would limit any normal social interaction.
We have found that Kybella is an excellent alternative to liposuction in those patients without significant skin laxity and who do not desire surgery. Call our office today to learn more!
