Dear Friend,
Thank you to EVERYONE who supported our recent Job Raising Challenge. This effort was a hands-down success for Boaz & Ruth and everyone in the city of Richmond! We truly appreciate all YOU did to support it with your donations and getting the word out to your friends, family and organizations. What a great way to start 2013 and lay a foundation for our work this year. Boaz & Ruth generated over $70,000 in six weeks for our programs to rebuild lives and communities through relationships, training, transitional jobs, and economic development. We ranked 4th out of 74 national organizations! Boaz & Ruth had the most number of donations made. That really shows the power of our grassroots fundraising effort, and it's something we can really be proud of. We also were able to secure a $5,000 mini-challenge grant from the Skoll Foundation and many other prizes. See the full list of prizes we won here.
What we're really excited about is that we entered the national conversation and have had some great exposure through this challenge. The nation is noticing our social enterprise solution to addressing the jobs crisis and how there's a segment of the population that can flourish and rebuild their lives through programs like Boaz & Ruth. Our blogs were published on HuffingtonPost.com, we were in the Richmond Times Dispatch several times, on Richmond BizSense, on the WTVR Virginia this Morning show with many other great tweets and shout-outs along the way. We won many additional opportunities that will happen over the course of this year.

Looking ahead, we hope you can join us at our 10th Anniversary Breakfast on May 15th at the Jefferson Hotel featuring Dr. John Perkins of the John M. Perkins Foundation for Reconciliation and Development and the Christian Community Development Association. We will be in touch with details soon.
THANK YOU for being our "Boaz" and helping to pave the way for our next decade of work. We are so excited to start this next chapter with you.
Best,
Megan Rollins
