Free Community Health Fair
 The Hocking College School of Nursing & School of Allied Health will promote wellness during their annual Health Fair on April 16, 2013 in the Student Center Multiplex from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Hocking students, faculty and the public are invited as participants can visit a wide range of booths, each demonstrating simple adjustments in everyday habits that can lead to healthier lifestyles. The event is planned, researched and organized by students in the Nursing, Physical Therapy Assistant, Medical Assistant, Fitness Management and Dietary Management programs. All services are free. Students will measure blood sugar and blood pressure, target heart rate/flexibility, body fat ratios and stress levels. Information supporting the relationship of cold prevention and hand washing, smokeless tobacco and smoking cessation, drug and alcohol abuse, energy drinks, emotional care, depression and suicide, sexually transmitted disease, rape, healthy diets, cancer screening and prevention and many other health issues will also be presented. There will be a used book sale and raffles throughout the day, both with proceeds the fund the health fair. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day. Limited free parking will be offered to visitors in front of the Hocking College Student Center.

Collegiate Job Fair
 Are you in the job market? Hocking College will host the Collegiate Job Fair on April 17, 2013 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Student Center Multiplex. Employers who hire from all Hocking College schools will be present. This is a great opportunity to find long-term employment! We recommend that your dress-up for the occasion, bring an up-to-date resume and come prepared to interview, if necessary.

Nelsonville Emporium T-Shirt Contest
 You could win $100 plus a t-shirt with your design on it by entering the Nelsonville Emporium T-Shirt Contest. Please see attached flyer. Feel free to print and share with others. Have your design worn! Designs may include but are not limited to: Nelsonville Emporium, Historic Public Square, Athens County, Hocking Hills, artwork or your own original work. Designs will be displayed and winners will be announced during the March 29, 2013 Final Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Nelsonville Emporium.

2013 Softball Leagues Sign-up sheets are located at the front desk of the Student Center and are due by Tuesday, March 19. Captains' meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.

First Annual 5K
 Hocking College is hosting our First Annual 5K race on Saturday, April 6, 2013. The 5K race is a traditional 3.1 mile course. Registration for the 5K begins at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. The race is divided by age groups, with awards given to the top three placers for males and females in each age group. Also a trophy/plaque will be given to the top three overall runners. All participants will receive a free t-shirt with their registration. Visit our website for more details.

Pump and Run
Hocking College is offering our First Annual Pump and Run. Registration for Pump and Run will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 with weigh-ins to follow at 9 a.m. The Pump and Run will be a 1.5 mile course and each participant will perform a set of bench presses for a maximal number of repetitions, with a percent of their body weight based on age. Each repetition completed will result in a 10 second reduction from their overall 1.5 mile run time. For more information, visit our website.
