Want to learn more about making your school's buildings Zero Energy, but don't know where to get started? This spring, SMC Energy Watch and the New Buildings Institute will be offering two trainings for schools to learn how to make their facilities
generate as much energy as they consume with on-site clean energy sources.


Who It's For: School administrators, business officers & key school community members.
What You'll Learn: This three-hour workshop delves into the benefits and value of Zero Energy K-12 schools, their costs and saving, and strategies to achieving successful Zero Energy projects including financing, planning, design, construction and operations.
 

May 27: Zero Energy Schools Technical Training
Who It's For: School designers, planners, project managers &  facilities staff.
What You'll Learn: This full-day workshop covers the technical and operational details of  zero energy schools. The session will examine real-world case studies of technologies and practices that have achieved superior energy performance and substantial cost savings and will discuss how Prop. 39 funds can help finance Zero Energy retrofits.

This technical session from PG&E and the New Buildings Institute is targeted to school architects, engineers, operations managers and construction managers. The interactive program will discuss technology applications and strategies for building retrofits, including tools for financing, communicating with clients, planning and managing operations.
